1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device (computer, tablet or phone) when you visit it. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — such as your preferred language or login state — making your next visit easier and the site more useful to you.
In addition to cookies, we use similar browser technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage to store preferences locally on your device.
2. Types of cookies by purpose
- Essential cookies: required for the basic operation of the site (session, CSRF, language). They cannot be disabled without affecting the service.
- Analytics cookies: allow us to measure traffic and user behaviour anonymously to improve the site.
- Marketing / advertising cookies: used to serve personalised ads on other platforms and measure campaign effectiveness.
- Preference cookies: remember your choices (light/dark theme, language) to provide a personalised experience.
