Welcome to KodeCoder: Custom Software, No Fluff

Every software project starts with an uncomfortable conversation. Someone has a real problem — they want to sell online, automate a manual task that's costing them hours every week, or launch a digital product that doesn't exist yet — and they're not quite sure where to start, or who to ask without getting sold smoke before anyone even understands the problem.

That's exactly the starting point of KodeCoder, even though until today we've lived it behind closed doors. We've spent more than 7 years building custom software in direct collaboration with companies, on projects covered by non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) that we couldn't — and still can't — show publicly. That's been our real work this whole time, and it will continue to be an important part of how we operate.

What changes starting today is that we're opening a new door: we're launching this website, this blog, and our social media so we can grow beyond those collaborations and reach more companies and projects. We're not starting from zero in terms of experience — we're starting from zero in visibility, which is different.

What you'll find on this blog

This first post is also a letter of introduction to what you'll find here from now on. It's not going to be a blog of corporate announcements or generic articles written to fill an editorial calendar. It's going to be the place where we share, honestly, what we learn working on real projects: what works, what doesn't, what mistakes we see repeating, and which technical decisions deserve more thought than they usually get.

You'll find content about:

  1. Web development: from landing pages to complex platforms, with clear opinions on when each approach makes sense.
  2. Mobile apps (iOS and Android): native, hybrid, when to migrate, what to avoid.
  3. Data engineering : how to make the most of the information companies already have, without needing a huge data team from day one.
  4. Technical marketing: how technology and growth strategy really intersect, beyond the surface.
  5. DevOps, cloud, and legacy system modernization: the less glamorous side of software development, which tends to have the biggest long-term impact.
  6. Thoughts on tech trends (generative AI, no-code, and whatever comes next): with the same honesty we apply to evaluating any project — does this solve a real problem, or is it just noise?

Why "no fluff"

We chose that subtitle on purpose. In an industry where it's easy to hide a lack of judgment behind technical jargon or "digital transformation" promises with no concrete substance, we prefer to be direct: we'll tell you when a project can be simpler than you think, when a trendy technology doesn't fit your case, and when the problem isn't technical but a matter of the project itself not being properly defined.

This doesn't mean we don't have strong opinions — we do, and you'll read them on this blog — but every opinion comes with the concrete reasoning behind it, not a generic claim with no substance.

Who we work with

We work both with companies that already have an in-house team and need extra capacity or a specialized outside perspective, and with entrepreneurs validating a business idea for the first time. The conversation with each is different, but the principle is the same: understand the real problem before proposing a technical solution.

If your situation is "I have an idea but I don't know if it's technically viable," or "I already have a system that needs modernizing without stopping the business," or "I want to understand what to do with the data we already have," this blog — and KodeCoder in general — is built precisely to walk with you through that conversation.

What you can expect from us

Our process always starts by understanding the context before the solution. We don't believe in improvised quotes for a half-defined idea, or in selling the trendy technology because it sounds good in a proposal. We believe in coming to the conversation with judgment, asking the uncomfortable questions when they're needed, and building exactly what the project needs — no more, no less. It's the same judgment we've applied to every confidential collaboration over these past 7+ years, and we keep working this way with clients who prefer to keep their project private.

What comes next

We're going to keep working on NDA-covered projects whenever a client requires it — that doesn't change — and alongside that, we're going to publish regular content on this blog: from practical technical self-diagnosis guides to honest analyses of trends like generative AI or no-code, as well as what we've learned helping modernize systems that hadn't been touched in years.

If you have a project in mind right now, you don't need to wait for us to publish the perfect article for your specific case — you can tell us directly what you need and we'll figure it out together.

FAQ

1. What kind of projects does KodeCoder do?

Web development, mobile apps (iOS and Android), data engineering, technical marketing, and additional services like DevOps, cloud, legacy system modernization, QA, and technical consulting.

2. Does KodeCoder work with companies or individuals?

Both: companies that need extra development capacity or a specialized outside perspective, and entrepreneurs validating a business idea for the first time.

3. Do I need to have the project fully defined before reaching out?

No. Part of the work is precisely helping define the actual scope of the project before proposing a technical solution.

4. How often will content be published on the blog?

The plan is to publish regularly, with practical, honest content about development, data, tech trends, and what we learn on real projects.

5. Is KodeCoder a new company?

No. We've spent more than 7 years building custom software in collaboration with companies, on projects covered by non-disclosure agreements. What we're launching now is our public presence: website, blog, and social media, so we can reach more projects beyond those collaborations.

6. Can I see examples of past projects?

Most of our work so far has been protected by confidentiality agreements, so we can't show it publicly. We can talk about our experience and way of working directly in an initial conversation.
